This is my personal website to share thoughts on my main passion - arms & armour collecting and research. My main area of focus is South East Asia and the myriad of swords that are often labelled as "dha" or "daab" by western collectors as well as the general history and culture of the region. In addition to swords I have an interest in other antiques and material culture of the region with a particular affinity for the historical regions of Lanna and Lan Xang, with a secondary interest in the post Angkor period of the Khmer.
In the past I have had a focus on the African sword known as the takouba and older articles on this site reflect that interest as well as other early African and Islamic sword forms.
