This site runs the Joomla CMS. It’s great flexible piece of open source software with strong community support. Basically you’re looking at PHP, XHTML with a MySQL database serving up the content.
The video content on the site encoded in H.264 mp4 format and displayed through the JW flash player. The HD capabilities of H.264 are becoming the online standard (finally!).
Image galleries are also flash based.
